About Lake Nakuru

Discover Lake Nakuru

Lake Nakuru National Park surrounds a soda lake on the floor of the Great Rift Valley. It is a fenced rhino sanctuary and one of the best places in Kenya to see both black and white rhinos.

Depending on water levels, the lake shore can turn pink with flamingos. The park’s yellow acacia woodland is also home to Rothschild’s giraffe, lions, leopards and large troops of baboons, with Baboon Cliff offering one of the finest viewpoints in the Rift Valley.
