About Amboseli

Discover Amboseli

Amboseli National Park sits at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak. On clear mornings the snow-capped summit rises above the plains, creating one of the most photographed scenes in Africa.

The park is famous for its elephants, including some of the last great tuskers. Swamps fed by Kilimanjaro’s snowmelt keep the park green in the dry season, drawing elephants, buffalo, hippos and hundreds of bird species.
