About Laikipia

Discover Laikipia

The Laikipia plateau is a patchwork of private ranches and community conservancies stretching from Mount Kenya towards the north. It has become one of Kenya’s most important wildlife areas, with the country’s second-highest wildlife density after the Mara.

Because the land is privately managed, activities go beyond standard game drives: walking safaris, horseback and camel rides, night drives and community visits. It is one of the best places in Kenya to look for endangered African wild dogs.
