About Lake Naivasha

Discover Lake Naivasha

Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake in the Great Rift Valley, ringed by yellow-barked acacia trees and papyrus. It is a relaxing stop between Nairobi and the Maasai Mara, and a lovely change from game drives.

Take a boat out among the hippos and fish eagles, then walk among giraffes, zebras and wildebeest on Crescent Island. Nearby Hell’s Gate National Park offers cycling and hiking through dramatic gorges and cliffs.
